Menus are necessary factors for any website in terms of navigation inside the website. They are somewhat shortcut keys for your visitors to reach the important pages or posts on your website. There are two simple ways to access and configure menu settings. You can either configure menu settings from the admin dashboard itself <\/strong>or from the theme customizer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To configure menu settings from the admin dashboard:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • First, open your WordPress Dashboard<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Navigate to Appearance >> Menus <\/strong>from the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Under the\u00a0Edit Menus<\/strong>\u00a0tab, click on\u00a0Create a New Menu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Enter your menu name in the menu<\/strong> name <\/strong>input field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Under Menu Settings, check one display location amongst the available locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Click on the Save Menu<\/strong> to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    To configure menu settings from Theme customizer: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • First open your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Open your theme customizer by navigating to Appearance >> Customize.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select Menus <\/strong>options to open the Menu <\/strong>settings interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click on Create New Menu<\/strong> link to create a new menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • First enter your Menu name in the Menu Name Input<\/strong> field and then set a location for that menu to either Top Header, Primary or Footer <\/strong>by checking one box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Then, click on the Next<\/strong> button below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click on the Add Items <\/strong>under Menu Name<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • You can then Add Menu<\/strong> items for your newly created menu from the array of options which are Custom Links, Pages, Posts, Categories and Tags.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Expand any of your preferred panels and click on the + icon <\/strong>to add them to the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • You can also reorder menus<\/strong> to create a drop-down<\/strong> effect by clicking on Re-order i<\/strong>tems. Use arrows to create a slight indentation to create drop-down menus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
