They are somewhat shortcut keys for your visitors to reach the important pages or posts on your website. There are two simple ways to access and configure menu settings. You can either <strong>configure menu settings from the admin dashboard itself <\/strong>or <strong>from the theme customizer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To configure menu settings from the admin dashboard:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/image.jpeg\" alt=\"Menu from WordPress dashboard\" class=\"wp-image-80\" style=\"width:860px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/image.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/image-300x136.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, open your<strong> WordPress Dashboard<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to&nbsp;<strong>Appearance &gt;&gt; Menus&nbsp;<\/strong>from the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the\u00a0<strong>Edit Menus<\/strong>\u00a0tab, click on\u00a0<strong>Create a New Menu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your menu name in the&nbsp;<strong>menu<\/strong> <strong>name&nbsp;<\/strong>input field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Menu Settings, check one display location amongst the available locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>Save Menu<\/strong>&nbsp;to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To configure menu settings from Theme customizer: <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First open your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your theme customizer by navigating to&nbsp;<strong>Appearance &gt;&gt; Customize.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Menus&nbsp;<\/strong>options to open the&nbsp;<strong>Menu&nbsp;<\/strong>settings interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on<strong>&nbsp;Create New Menu<\/strong>&nbsp;link to create a new menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First enter your Menu name in the<strong>&nbsp;Menu Name Input<\/strong>&nbsp;field and then set a location for that menu to either&nbsp;<strong>Top Header, Primary or Footer&nbsp;<\/strong>by checking one box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, click on the&nbsp;<strong>Next<\/strong>&nbsp;button below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the<strong>&nbsp;Add Items&nbsp;<\/strong>under&nbsp;<strong>Menu Name<\/strong>&nbsp;section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can then<strong>&nbsp;Add Menu<\/strong>&nbsp;items for your newly created menu from the array of options which are<strong>&nbsp;Custom Links, Pages, Posts, Categories and Tags.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expand any of your preferred panels and click on the <strong>+ icon <\/strong>to add them to the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"562\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/article-wave-menu-from-theme-customizer-1024x562.jpg\" alt=\"menu-from-theme-customizer\" class=\"wp-image-81\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/article-wave-menu-from-theme-customizer-1024x562.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/article-wave-menu-from-theme-customizer-300x165.jpg 300w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/article-wave-menu-from-theme-customizer-768x422.jpg 768w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/articlewave\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2023\/11\/article-wave-menu-from-theme-customizer.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can also <strong>reorder menus<\/strong> to create a <strong>drop-down<\/strong> effect by clicking on&nbsp;<strong>Re-order i<\/strong>tems.
