Widget functions is related to managing and displaying content in widget-ready areas of your site, such as sidebars, footers, and other designated sections. Here we also get two different ways to access the widget similar to menu panel. Similarly they are:
- Configure Widget Panel from the admin dashboard.
- Configure Widget Panel from Theme Customizer.
To configure widgets from the admin dashboard:
- Start from WordPress dashboard, then Appearance >> Widgets.
- Then choose the appropriate blocks for the widget area of your choice.
- After you are done with the Widget placement, click on the Update button at the top right-hand side of your screen.
To configure widgets from Theme Customizer.
- Navigate to WordPress dashboard, then Appearance >> Customize.
- Then navigate yourself towards Widgets Panel where you can see seven different widget areas to choose from.
- Choose your desired widget area, and add your widget in the respective area.
- Click on “Publish” button to save your changes.
