You can either configure menu settings from the admin dashboard itself or from the theme customizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure Menus using WordPress Admin Dashboard itself<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"502\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page-1024x502.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page-1024x502.png 1024w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page-300x147.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page-768x376.png 768w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page-1536x753.png 1536w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/menu-page.png 1908w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First open you WordPress Dashboard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Appearance &gt;&gt; Menus <\/strong>from the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under <strong>Edit Menus<\/strong> tab, click on <strong>Create a New Menu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your menu name in the <strong>Menu Name<\/strong> input field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under Menu Settings, check one display location amongst the available locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eventually, click on <strong>Save Menu<\/strong> to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configure Menu Settings Using Theme Customizer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First open your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your theme customizer by navigating to <strong>Appearance &gt;&gt; Customize.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Menus <\/strong>options to open the <strong>Menu <\/strong>settings interface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on<strong> Create New Menu<\/strong> link to create a new menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First enter your Menu name in the<strong> Menu Name Input<\/strong> field and then set a location for that menu to either <strong>Top Header, Primary or Footer <\/strong>by checking one box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, click on the <strong>Next<\/strong> button below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the<strong> Add Items <\/strong>under <strong>Menu Name<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can then<strong> Add Menu<\/strong> items for your newly created menu from the array of options which are<strong> Custom Links, Pages, Posts, Categories and Tags.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expand any of your preferred panels and click on + icon to add that to the menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"521\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu-1024x521.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu-1024x521.png 1024w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu-300x153.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu-768x391.png 768w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu-1536x782.png 1536w, https:\/\/docs.mysterythemes.com\/news-express\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2025\/09\/customizer-menu.png 1807w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can also reorder menus to create a drop down effect by clicking on <strong>Re-order i<\/strong>tems.
