The main area of the footer can be used for displaying widgets. From here you can choose the widget area layout.
- Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Options >> Footer >> Main Area.
- Choose the Enable/Disable option to display Widget Area and Choose the Widget Area Layout from the available layouts option.
- Then, click on Save & Publish button
