For that,
- Login to your WordPress Dashboard, then go to Appearance > Customize > General Settings
- Then go to your Background Image option at the bottom.
- Click on the Select Image button and upload your preferred image for the background of your site.
- Check the appearance on the live preview
- Click on the Publish button to save your changes.
