WP Diary is a Free WordPress Theme crafted for your blog, portfolio or news magazine. It has a unique, modern, light and clean design which will make your website look awesome. It is completely built on Customizer which allows you to customize most of the theme settings easily with live previews. This theme comes with 3 different archive layouts and other exciting features that allow you to customize the theme easily without coding knowledge.

Installing Theme via WordPress interface

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
Click on Add New
Search for the WP Diary Theme.
Click on Install and activate the theme

Installing Theme Offline

Download a Copy of WP Diary Theme from WordPress or our site.
You'll get 'WP Diary.zip' file save it in your storage.
Go to Dashboard > Themes > Click on Add New
Click on Upload Theme button.
Browse for the theme you've have downloaded.
Click on Install and Activate the theme.

Installation Via FTP/Cpanel

Download a Copy of WP Diary Theme from WordPress or our site.
Now Connect the FTP server using the FTP details and copy the extracted folder to 'site-name/wp-content/themes/' path.
Now, go to the Dashboard >> Appearance > Themes.
You will see the WP Diary theme in the theme dashboard.
Activate the WP Diary theme.
Click on Dashboard >> Appearance >> customize for further setup.

Configure site logo/title/favicon

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >> Site Identity.
Click on Select Logo for upload or change site logo from existing logo. ( preferred size for the logo is 300x50 ).
Enter Site Title and Tagline.
Checkbox option about site title and tagline display.
Click on Select Image for upload favicon.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Background Color

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >> Colors.
Choose the color for site background from Background Color color picker option.
Background Color is more suitable while Website is in the boxed layout.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Primary Theme Color

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >> Colors
Choose the suitable color from an unlimited color option.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Background Image

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >> Background Image.
Click on Select Image button.
Upload or choose an image for website background. Once select image then visible many settings about background image.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Homepage Settings

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >>Homepage Settings
Choose your latest posts or a static page on the homepage displays option.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Site Settings

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> General Settings >>Site Settings.
Click the choose layout for the entire website option.
Select Boxed layout option.
Then, click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Innerpages Header Image

Go to Appearance >>Customize >> Header Settings >> Header Image.
Click on the Add new image and select image for the current header.
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure Sticky Menu

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header Settings >> Extra Options.
Choose enable/disable option for header sticky ( header section: logo with primary menu ).
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure Sidebar Menu Icon

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header Settings >> Extra Options.
Choose enable/disable option for sidebae menu icon.
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure Search Icon

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header Settings >>Extra Options.
Choose enable/disable option for search icon on primary menu section.
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure slider

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Slider Settings.
Click on the button to enable the slider section.
Select the suitable category under Slider Category drop-down option.
Enter the text under Read More Text.
Then, Click on the Save button.

Configure Author Info

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets.
Enter the Widget title in the text field.
Select the available author from drop-down option.
Click on Select Image to upload or change the author image.
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure Latest Posts

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets.
Enter the Widget title in the text field.
Select the available post order from drop-down option.
Set the number of posts count.
Click on Save & Publish Button.

Configure Archives Pages

Settings are effected on the archive, categories, search pages.

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Design Settings >> Archive Settings.
Choose the suitable sidebar layout from available options under Archive Sidebars.
Choose the suitable blog style from available options under Archive style.
Enter the text under Read More Text.
Then, Click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Posts

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Design Settings >> Post Settings.
Choose the suitable sidebar layout from available options under Post Sidebars.
Choose the suitable style from available options under Posts style.
Click enable/disable option to enable the related posts.
Then, Click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Pages

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Design Settings >> Page Settings.
Choose the suitable sidebar layout from available options under Page Sidebars.
Then, Click on Save & Publish button.

Create Social Icons

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Additional Features >> Social Icons.
Click on Add Icon button. A new Icon will be added.
Open the newly added icon.
Choose the suitable social icon under Social Media Logo.
Enter your social media account URL at Social Icon Url text field.
Then, Click on the Save & Publish button.

Configure Breadcrumbs

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Additional Features >> Breadcrumbs Settings.
Choose Enable/Disable option for breadcrumbs section.
Then, Click on the Publish button.

Creating New Category

Go to Dashboard >> Posts >> Categories
Enter Category name at Name field.
Enter the category slug if you need different from category name, but leave it as blank.
Select the existing category from dropdown if you want to make child category, otherwise, leave it as None.
Enter the category description if you needed.
Click on Add New Category button.

Creating New Post

Go to Dashboard >> Posts >> Add New
Enter the post title and add the post content in the editor area.
Choose the categories from lists and enter tags as you like.
Choose the sidebar option from available lists which is more priority than customizer option.
Select the featured image for the post.
Click on Publish button.

Creating New Page

Go to Dashboard >> Pages >> Add New
Enter the page title and add the page content in the editor area.
Choose the existing page if you want to create a child page, other wise leave it.
Choose the available page template if you want.
Choose the sidebar from available options.
No need to add featured image for the page.
Click on Publish button.

Configure Footer Widget Area

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Footer Settings >> Footer Widget Area.
Click on the button to enable the footer widget area.
Chose the available layout from the Widget Area Layout.
Click on Save & Publish button.

Configure Footer Copyright

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Footer Settings >> Copyright Text.
Enter the copyright text what you may like.
Then, Click on Save & Publish button.

Creating A New Menu

Menu needs the pages, posts, and categories so please create that first.

Go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Menus
Click on Create a new menu link.
Enter the menu name at "Menu Name" field.
Select the pages/posts/ categories and custom links tab from the left side.
Drag and Drop the selected tabs as you like.
Choose Display location for the menu.
Click on Create menu button.
